Rain or shine, show must go on

afternoon in Hastings.

As rain fell, spirits at this year's Flatwater Music Festival were slightly dampened on Friday. With light mist falling throughout Friday afternoon, plans were quickly made to move the party inside one of the large barns at Prairie Loft Center of Outdoor and Agricultural Learning west of Hastings.

"We are going to have a party in the barn," said Amy Sandeen, executive director of Prairie Loft and organizer of the Flatwater Festival. "If the rain continues, we are going to move everything inside and create a festive space with lots of energy and lots of fun.

"We can take advantage of whatever conditions we have and adapt."
