A person's character is often revealed in the challenges that he or she overcomes. Whether those obstacles are small day-to-day bumps in the road or life-altering mountains, it is up to the individual to conquer the tests of life.

Ami Beiriger is a conqueror.

Beiriger, a coach, teacher and athletic director at All Saints' Episcopal Day School in Phoenix, has seen her share of mountains, and she's climbed each one of them.

Some may know that Beiriger was part of St. Cecilia's first two girls basketball state championships. She helped lead the team to two consecutive undefeated seasons, 1976-77 and 1977-78. Those accomplishments alone are impressive, but considering the success came in the first-ever two seasons of the St. Cecilia girls basketball program, that's historic.
