After three consecutive ugly losses, the Hastings Five Points Bank senior legion baseball team had a lot of built-up aggression that needed to be taken out.

The team was able to do just that against Norfolk in a doubleheader sweep at Duncan Field on Wednesday night.

FPB took game one 13-1, pounding out 14 hits while putting seven runs across in the last inning, then continued its offensive dominance with a 19-9 win in the nightcap.

"We spent about two hours in the cages this morning, and we worked on our approach," said head coach Steve Illingworth, whose team had been shut out in the previous two games heading into the doubleheader. "We worked on hitting the ball to opposite field and just having more intelligent at bats, so they got a lot of reps this morning. Then, before the game, we always hit. We hit two times today and it paid off."
