As the Exeter-Milligan football team kept taking steps toward its state championship appearance last fall, a few individual players were taking their game to a higher level.
Blake Papik said that he learned a lot about himself as a player when he was able to handle his own against tougher competition that the team saw in the state playoffs.
"It taught us a lot. Not only about skills, but about leadership," said Papik, a 6-foot 230 pound lineman. "Having to play the best of the best in the playoffs, we're playing the same people here
