Kleier caps impressive year with all-star game

It has been quite the career for Ryan Kleier and the Giltner boys athletic programs.
Kleier was on the Hornets team that won the Class D-2 state championship in football.
He was also a member of the basketball team, which qualified for the state tournament all four years of his high school career, winning the D-2 title twice.

In his final two years on the Giltner track and field team, Kleier, along with several other Hornets, qualified for the state track and field meet in Omaha.

Kleier had a senior year that many dream of, and now, he will cap his prep athletic career with an appearance in the Sertoma 8-Man All-Star game on Saturday at Lloyd Wilson Field at 1:30 p.m.

"This will be my last football game. I'm going to go to (the University of Nebraska-Kearney) and just go to school," Keleier said. "I'm just going to go as hard as I can and try and have fun out there."
