Wednesday night in Sutton.

SUTTON — Last season, the Sutton senior American Legion baseball team hit just one homerun all year.

Sutton surpassed that total in the second inning of Wednesday's game.

Offense seemed to come easy for Sutton in a 16-0 victory over Davenport/Edgar, while Brody Yost shut down the opposition on the mound.

"We were fortunate. I know they didn't play as well as they could have. They gave us a lot of opportunities with walks and errors," said Sutton coach Steve Spongberg. "The 16-0 score is not an indication of how good the teams really are."
