Sutton's Yost pitches no-hitter

Sutton's Brody Yost beats the attempted double-play at first
base during Tuesday's against Doniphan-Trumbull.

DONIPHAN — Sutton pitcher Brody Yost didn't need much offensive help, but he got it anyway.

The Sutton American Legion baseball team scored 11 runs en route to beating Doniphan-Trumbull 11-0. Meanwhile, Yost threw all five innings without allowing a hit.

"I thought tonight, (Yost) got on top of a lot of hitters, and got his share of strikeouts. We also played solid defense behind him," said Sutton head coach Steve Spongberg.
