Johnson Imperial Homes improved to 18-8 on the season by beating Norfolk 17-7 Thursday at Duncan Field.

It was the third consecutive win in the season series against Norfolk, but the effort saw three JIH pitchers give up eight walks and one hit batter. Two past balls also resulted in two runs for Norfolk, and the Hastings defense gave up three errors.

"We have four games in two days, and we were hoping to not have to go into the bullpen too much," said JIH head coach Russ Kindig. "We were expecting a little bit more."
