The Adams Central school van that pulled up Tuesday afternoon to the Crossroads Rescue Mission was like a clown car.
Even with help from Crossroads staff and residents, the three students kept pulling out box after box of toiletries they were donating to the homeless shelter. The students were representatives from the school’s SkillsUSA chapter.
“We always hear about how Crossroads needs different toiletry supplies,” senior Kaitlyn Grothen said. “So we thought this would be a good way to get things that aren’t normally donated.”
She made the delivery with fellow senior Kim Spartz, freshman Kaitlyn Jurrens and SkillsUSA adviser Tim Schirmer, who is also the school’s career and technical education teacher.
