Construction crews are making quick work of the Doniphan
Area Event Center just south of Pine Street. It is slated for
completion in Septem-ber.
DONIPHAN — Construction on the Doniphan Area Event Center is cruising along and contractors have the east half of the 13,395-square-foot building nearly enclosed.
"Very well, they're right on schedule," Terry Connick, president of the Doniphan Economic Development Corp., said this morning to characterize construction.
The project, for which the groundbreaking occurred in September 2012, is scheduled to be completed this September.
The event center was designed by architect Kenn Frederick, owner of Master Builder Associates in Doniphan, to include a main hall with seating for 360, a village office and a senior center.
