Volunteers will be helping to spruce up the miniature golf course from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Hastings Family YMCA, 1220 W. 18th St.,
Michael Krings, executive director, said the organization holds the annual cleaning to get the course ready for the season.
This year’s cleanup will be more noteworthy due to renovations at the course.
The YMCA received a $25,000 matching grant from the Adams County Convention and Visitors Bureau and a $5,000 grant from the Kitty Perkins Foundation to revamp the course. The greens will be recarpeted, and the entrance will be moved to the street.
There will be labor involved during Saturday’s cleanup, but no special skills are needed to help.
“We’re going to get dirty and get the place cleaned up,” Krings said.
Anyone interested in helping to clean up course can contact the YMCA by Friday at 402-463-3139.
