The switch to strictly an online format for school news at Hastings High has required considerable adjustment for both those producing the content and the audience they're trying to reach.
The 11-member staff of Tiger Cub Online likes the ability to pass on news and information in a more timely fashion with the change from print to digital. But staffers believe there aren't as many people reading or watching what they've done.
The Tiger Cub published its last newspaper May 16, 2012, before shifting to the Tiger Cub Online, a news website with both broadcast and written news.
Adviser Cathy Davis said that when the 2012-13 school year started, she and senior editor Shane Samuelson knew it would be all about change as they created new formats, new deadlines and a new approach to news at Hastings High.
"Really all year it's kind of been a work in progress," Davis said.
