Hastings High senior goaltender Bailey Petzoldt and the rest of her Tiger soccer teammates are set to start their season today.
But first, Petzoldt had some personal business to take care of on Wednesday.
She signed the dotted line to continue her soccer career at Bellevue University in a ceremony at the school with her family, HHS head coach Chris Pedroza and Bruins coach Andy Nicolarsen in attendance.
Petzoldt said that as soon as she received the offer from Nicolarsen, she knew that the opportunity to go to school in the Omaha area was something she couldn’t refuse.
“That was the first reason why I wanted to go there,” Petzoldt said. “I kind’ve knew I was officially going there once I got my offer.”
