Hastings High's Emma Keele passes against Lincoln North
Star's Kailee McFadden Thursday.
Playing at a defensive position, Hastings High senior Taylor Musgrave hardly ever gets a chance to score a goal.
But, because a few of her teammates were gone on a school trip to Europe, head coach Chris Pedroza moved Musgrave to a middle position.
She was given her chance, and she capitalized.
Musgrave scored twice to lead the Class B No. 6 (Omaha World-Herald) Tigers to a 3-0 win over Class A Lincoln North Star Thursday at the HHS soccer fields.
Boys
Last season, the Hastings High boys soccer had a tough time against Class A competition — going 3-5. One of the teams it fell to was Lincoln North Star.
On Thursday, HHS had a chance to flip the script in an all too familiar style.
The Class B No. 10 Tigers' luck ran out, though, as the Navigators were able to earn a 4-2 victory.
