STC beats Blue Hill in windy dual



While Thursday wasn’t exactly golfing weather, the conditions were well enough for the St. Cecilia and Blue Hill boys golf teams to compete in their first contest of the season.

Despite strong winds and low temperatures, the Bluehawks played well enough to beat the Bobcats 168-257.

“The weather was not cooperating with golf at all, but I got in a rhythm early and it helped,” said STC’s Alex Sheehy. “I putted really well, which saved my round today.”

Sheehy brought home the best score, totaling a 38. He said it was his short game that saved him.
