Hundreds of middle school students and their families flooded the halls of the Hastings Middle School Thursday evening to celebrate their year’s worth of accomplishments.
The halls were filled with posters highlighting information on science, mathematics, favorite books and musicians. There were homemade instruments made with fishing poles, PVC pipe and plastic trashcans along with solar systems made from pipe cleaners and foam balls.
The school celebrated its second annual Night of Excellence Thursday as a way to show off the talents of students and some special community members.
