Gas prices have once again taken an upward turn in Nebraska, where the average price for regular unleaded rose to $3.99 at most stations in town this week.
The ascent may not be over, either. Experts predict prices could eclipe the $4 threashold by Sunday.
“More than likely, that’s the way it’s going right now,” said Jerry Hoff, vice president of operations for Uncle Neal’s. “But I think it’s going to be a short-term deal.
“The last time it was over $4 a gallon was about a year ago for just a few days, then it dropped back down. I think the same thing is going to happen again.”
