Remember what you've learned and be ready to use it in the future.

Hastings College alumni Oleg Kalinskiy shared those words of advice with the more than 200 college graduates Saturday at Lynn Farrell Arena.

There was barely an empty seat in the arena and many were left standing at the top of the arena to watch the college's 128th annual commencement ceremony.

Kalinskiy came from his homeland of Russia to earn his degree at Hastings College. He graduated in 1998 with a bachelor of arts in international economics, business administration and political science.

For his leadership while on campus, Kalinskiy was bestowed the Bronco Award, the highest non-academic honor a student can receive.

While he had a successful time at Hastings College, Kalinskiy told the graduates that not everything was perfect for him at the college but that was all part of the learning experience.
