After nearly 50 years with the Adams County Historical Society, one member will be taking a break from the job.
The Historical Society has announced that long-time executive director Catherine Renschler is retiring from her position and that her replacement will be Elizabeth Spilinek of Hastings.
Renschler has served as director since 1986 and while she’s retiring as executive director, this long-time historical society member isn’t completely leaving.
“I’ll probably be here one day a week,” Renschler said. “And I’ll still be in charge of historical society’s part of the cemetery tour. I’m not riding off into the sunset yet.”
