The search for a new president and CEO for Mary Lanning Healthcare has been narrowed to three candidates, the Tribune learned Thursday.
The candidates are slated to visit Mary Lanning in early June for on-site personal interviews, said Jeff Anderson, MLH board chairman. The search committee has been working with national recruitment firm B.E. Smith in evaluating candidates according to qualifications, talents and strengths necessary to lead Mary Lanning into the future.
"Many qualified candidates have been evaluated and, in making the final determination, we will consider their experiences and compatibility with our culture and values," Anderson said in a letter distributed to Mary Lanning staff members on May 24. "We are seeking a candidate who is aligned with the strategic direction we have chosen."
He elaborated on that direction in an interview with the Tribune late Thursday afternoon.
