N Carolina protesters hang Confederate statue from post

Protesters surround a Raleigh Police officer in his vehicle on Fayetteville Street on Friday, June 19, 2020, in Raleigh, N.C. Demonstrators marched through downtown Raleigh to protest against police brutality and to celebrate Juneteenth, which commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Protesters also pulled down parts of a Confederate monument Friday night and hanged one of the toppled statues from a light post.
