For the second time in three months, the Hastings Planning Commission rejected a plan to develop property just east of the Lake Hastings dam.
In January, applicant Steve Craig proposed rezoning three lots properties from residential to commercial with the intent to construct a new office building on Lot Two.
On Monday, attorney David Fisher presented an application on behalf of Craig to rezone two lots to Commercial Office Planned District.
Under this new proposal, Craig plans to build a 3,500 square foot office building on Lot 2. He had no plans to develop Lot 3.
With this being a planned district, Fisher told the commission Monday that it would have the authority to approve all future developments on the property.
