Minden passes ordinance in response to strip club
MINDEN — It may not be open now, but if the all-nude juice bar planned for 234 E. Fourth St., near downtown, ever becomes operational it can only be open 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays.
Those hours of operation are among sections included in the 29-page ordinance 1178, which regulates sexually oriented businesses in the city. Council members approved the ordinance 4-0 during their regular meeting Monday and then voted unanimously to suspend the three required readings of the ordinance.
The ordinance will go into effect after it is published in the Nov. 14 issue of the Minden Courier.
