DONIPHAN — After placing the final pieces on a 300-piece butterfly puzzle and before digging into a lunch Wednesday of liver and onions, mashed potatoes and gravy and Brussels sprouts, Ruth Hoskins stopped to consider the new home of the Doniphan Senior Center.
The smaller of two meeting rooms in the brand-new Doniphan Area Event Center was bathed in sunlight pouring in from large windows with a southern exposure. In fact, there was so much sunlight that the puzzle table had to be moved back a little bit from the windows.
“It’s very open,” Hoskins said. “We can see the cars going, and we like that.”
