LINCOLN — The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity for Exeter-Milligan sports fans.
Nine days after the volleyball team won its third state championship in four years, the football team was playing for its first state championship Monday at Memorial Stadium. The Timberwolves wound up losing 40-14 to Elgin/Pope John in the Class D-1 title game.
The fall sports season has been especially busy for one family.
Jackie Luzum was a senior on the volleyball team. Her brother, Derek, is a sophomore on the football team.
