New name ACE in the hole
One Adams Central elementary took a big step toward further unity with the adoption of a new name.
During a special pep rally Wednesday, principal Lonnie Abbott announced that Adams Central District 15 Elementary would from that point on be known as Adams Central East Elementary.
The school is also making the Junior Patriot be its mascot with the school colors red, white and blue.
Friends and classmates Derek Vonderfecht, Thomas Hunt and Logan Kershner were all happy to have Adams Central East as their school’s new name.
“I like it because it spells out ACE,” Hunt said.
