As was the case last year, the presence of accumulating snow is likely to come later than sooner to the Tribland coverage area.
Aside from a few slight flurries that lightly dusted windshields in Hastings and surrounding areas on Oct. 25, there has been no sign of snow here to date. That projection doesn’t figure to change one iota during the next 10 days, said Briona Saltzman, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Hastings.
“Right now the models are really not showing much in the way of snow or precipitation, for that matter,” Saltzman said. “In our 30-county warning area, right now it’s looking very slim for Hastings.”
