Bowling season for high schoolers

As the only senior on the Hastings High boys bowling team, Corey Luce hopes the team can win the championship this year. Last year, the team was runner-up and Luce wants to finish his high school career one step higher.

He started as a sophomore with around a 100 average score and no idea how to throw a hook. He learned and made the varsity team as a junior. Now, he carries a 204 average.

“I’ve enjoyed making friends and how much I’ve improved,” he said.
Luce and his teammates started his final season with a Kickoff Classic tournament Saturday at Pastime Lanes.
