HCT presents ‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’

Nakiya Combs announces the birth of Jesus during a
rehearsal for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"
Tuesday night at Hastings Community Theatre.

What happens when six of the worst behaved children ever are given lead roles in the annual Christmas pageant?

Find out at “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” a poignant comedy presented by Hastings Community Theatre, 515 S. Fourth Ave., at 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday and 7 p.m. Dec. 7-9.

A cast and crew of about 60 lend their talents to the production, which is directed by Jeff Ehlers and produced by Donna Hastings.

“Watch what happens with the power of Christmas and how it can change lives,” Ehlers said. “It’s just a wonderful experience for the whole family. There’s something in here for everyone.”

For Hastings, the biggest challenge will be to keep the cast of young people focused and engaged throughout the hour-long production.
