Old Navy is on the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce’s radar.
In its quest to bring more retail stores geared toward men’s, women’s and children’s clothing to the city, the chamber, through its Retail Oversight Committee, is actively recruiting the American clothing chain owned by Gap Inc.
Old Navy, headquartered in San Francisco, will soon be receiving promotional material from the chamber, the Hastings Board of Public Works heard during a presentation from the chamber Retail Oversight Committee Thursday.
Linsey Martin, finance and retail development coordinator for the chamber, told the board that even though Old Navy has gone into communities the size of Hastings, it still will be a challenge to get the store in the city.
“We’re just going to try and recruit as many retailers and restaurants as we can to town,” she said.
