Hastings woman helping tornado recovery in Illinois

When a natural disaster strikes, the American Red Cross is never far behind.

That includes Lee Meyer of Hastings who arrived in Peoria, Ill., Nov. 21, four days after an EF4 tornado struck nearby Washington, Ill.

"It's been pretty hectic," she said Wednesday afternoon. "Things are settling down a little now, and I think it's because of the holiday tomorrow. So we're expecting it to really gear up over the weekend."
