Timberwolves rush past Hartington

MILLIGAN — There were no Halloween treats for Hartington Thursday evening as Exeter-Milligan put 34 first-half points en route to a 56-6 victory over the Wildcats in the first round of the Class D-1 state football playoffs.

Even though they tallied 401 yards of total offense — 325 of them on the ground — the Timberwolves played enough mental tricks on themselves to concern head coach Dean Filipi.

"We try to run it as much as possible and getting 325 yards on the ground is always good, but we still need to clean up some things," Filipi said.
