STC overcomes mistakes to win 16-0

St. Cecilia's Avery Driscoll tries to break free from Thayer
Central's Preston Brinegar and Chris Kovacs during their
Class C-2 playoff game Thursday at Duncan Field.

It was a spooky Halloween night for the St. Cecilia Bluehawks, as they escaped with a 16-0 victory over the Thayer Central Titans on Thursday.

The Bluehawks defense had to step up to the plate to negate the six turnovers their team had offensively. With the win, St. Cecilia advances to Wednesday's second round of the Class C-2 playoffs to face Hershey.

The same two teams played last week in the regular season finale with St. Cecilia running away in that contest winning 40-0. This time, the score was knotted at zero heading into halftime.
