ORANGE CITY, Iowa — The Hastings College football team was two minutes, 16 seconds from its biggest win of the season Saturday.
The Broncos led No. 21 Northwestern 28-25, but one seven-second play changed everything.
The Red Raiders scored on a fourth-and-18 from the HC 42-yard line to take a 31-28 lead over Hastings College. The Broncos got the ball near midfield on the ensuing drive, but their chance of an upset ended when quarterback Matt Overmiller was sacked on a fourth-and-19.
