NORFOLK — The anticipated battle between two of the top rushing teams in Class C-1 never really materialized Wednesday, as Norfolk Catholic dominated Adams Central 33-7 in the second round of the playoffs.

"I really expected a closer game," said Knights coach Jeff Bellar. "I thought our defense played extremely well. We knew they had an outstanding running back, and we really played well against him."

Adams Central tailback Buzz Niederklein was held to 91 yards on 15 carries, with 61 of those yards coming late in the game.
