SEWARD — Leading much of the first set, Fillmore Central had upset on its mind.

But Columbus Scotus showed why it's the top team in Class C-1, rallying to win the first set en route to sweeping Fillmore Central 25-21, 25-15, 25-17 in the Class C-1, District 3 final at Seward High School.

"Our girls believed all year long they had a shot against anybody anytime they step on the floor," Fillmore Central coach Steve Sherman said. "Tonight was no different. We knew we had the opportunity if we did the little things correctly and we played up to our potential."

Fillmore Central ends the season 20-12, while Class C-1 No. 1 Columbus Scotus improves to 25-3 and advances to the state tournament for the 24th time in 25 years.
