HC women improve to 4-0

Hastings College's Jamie Van Kirk dribbles against Kansas
Wesleyan's Vanessa Kresin Friday at Lynn Farrell Arena.

The Hastings College women's basketball team has a tough beginning to the season, but that hasn't stopped the Broncos from winning four straight to open the year.

Friday, HC defeated Kansas Wesleyan — the second straight Bronco opponent receiving votes in the NAIA preseason poll — the same way it has beaten its first three foes, with defense.

Hastings College forced 19 turnovers and held the Coyotes to a season-low 65 points in a 77-65 victory.
