Hastings High's Brooke Bailey tries to spike past the block of
Norris's Payton Ruhl Saturday.

FIRTH — Going up against a team with two starters taller than 6 feet, Hastings High coach Dave Hepner knew Norris would be a challenge for his undersized Tigers.

That proved true, as Norris cruised to a 25-11, 25-11, 25-17 sweep in the Class B-6 sub-state matchup Saturday afternoon.

"They're a really good team," said Hepner, whose Tigers end the season 23-10. "They can flat out play the game. They can jump and they got over our blocks. They did everything they wanted to do."
