FREMONT — The Hastings College men's basketball team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 77-70 win over Midland at the Midland Event Center on Tuesday.
Free throws were key for the Broncos, who shot 21-of-25 (84 percent) from the charity stripe. Brady Lollman led HC, which was coming off an 88-75 loss to Morningside on Saturday, with 16 points. Dane Bacon added 15 points, all of which came in the first half when Bacon was 5-of-6 from 3-point range.
Zach Lenagh finished 13 points and nine rebounds off the bench for Hastings College (6-1, 1-1 GPAC), while Dylan Flinn had 10. St. Cecilia graduate Jake Hamburger scored nine.
Galen Gullie led Midland (1-3, 0-2) with 19 points.
