Hastings, Nebraska, resident Carol R. Wall, 91, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Harvard Rest Haven.

Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13 at Berean Bible Church in Hastings with Pastor Paul Knott officiating. The burial will be Tuesday, July 16 at 11 a.m. at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota. Visitation and remembrance will be Friday, July 12 from 6-8 p.m. with family present at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to Harvard Rest Haven Bath House or Berean Bible Church Mission Fund. Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

Carol was born on January 29, 1928, to George and Nellie (Horner) Richey in Baker, Montana. Carol graduated high school in 1945 and started teaching in South Dakota in a one-room school house. On April 12, 1952, Carol married Virgil A. Wall. Carol worked as a cook for local restaurants. She also worked at South Dakota Senior Services as a site manager. Carol also enjoyed working as a Foster Grandparent. Carol was a member of the Berean Bible Church, organized a grandparent prayer group, and loved the Lord.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil A. Wall; one sister; and five brothers.

Survivors include children and spouses, Bev and Rod Simons of Glenham, South Dakota, Allan and Valerie Wall of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Jane and Tom Burch of Big Sandy, Texas, Larina and Kent Brobst of Rochester, Minnesota, Janice and Dave Nervig of Juniata, and Laurell and Kevin Fisher of Derby, Kansas; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Clarice Reed of Stamford; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
