Donald Wayne Jarosik, 79, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, January 27, 2020.
Don, the eldest of four children, was born February 7, 1940, to the late Theodore and Dorothy (Hubl) Jarosik in Spring Ranch, Nebraska. Don married Jerri Soucie, his high school sweetheart, on November 21, 1961. They began their family on a farm in Fairfield, Nebraska, then moved to Hastings, and later resided in Loveland, Colorado. Don enjoyed farming, had an agribusiness, and was a real estate agent.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish in Loveland, Colorado. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 31, at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland, with rosary at 7 p.m. Burial service will be at Saint Martin-Loucky Cemetery in Deweese, Nebraska, at a later date. Don was blessed with a large, caring family. He is remembered by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Jerralyn “Jerri” Kay Jarosik; ten children, Sherri (Chuck) Zach, Linda (Russ) Thaut, Kevin (Debbie) Jarosik, Lori (Tim) Farmer, Michelle (Greg) Gleason, Donnalene (Charles) Gleason, Tammy (Kendall) Hartley, Troy (Laura) Jarosik, Trent Jarosik, and Amy (Troy) Reed; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (LeRoy) Svoboda, Barb (Ed) Heinze, and brother David (Marsha) Jarosik; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends that became more like family.
Don raised his ten children with love, patience, and discipline. His unending love for his wife, and his acts of kindness and forgiveness will not be forgotten. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, and his love for each of them was immeasurable.
