Kearney, Nebraska resident, Harold E. Wahl, 61, passed away at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney on Thursday, April 25, 2019.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Juniata Community Church on 9th & Platte Ave. in Juniata, Nebraska with Pastor Tom Murray officiating. Inurnment to follow at the Juniata Cemetery. Visitation with family at the church prior to service. Cremation was under the care of DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hastings. Harry was born August 4, 1957 in Hastings, being the ninth child of fifteen born to Henry and Adeline R. (Johansen) Wahl. He graduated from high school in Bartlett, Nebraska. Harry married Rebecca L. Hazen on June 6, 1980. They divorced in January 1982. Harry remained in the Kearney area working for NPPD. He bartended at Copperfields and was currently employed at Dobberstein Roofing in Kearney.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Violet Jackson and Marjorie Wahl; and brothers, Donald, Delbert, and Lester Wahl.
Siblings surviving include Viola Clements of Juniata, Velma (James) Stevens of Evansville, Indiana, Vera (Bill) Nielsen of Stromsburg, Nebraska, Virginia Beam of Florida, Velda Montey of Grand Island, and Vivian Adler and Vicki (Larry) Jones all of Hastings; as well as brothers, Kenneth Wahl of Hastings, and Michael Warner of Southberry, North Carolina; along with numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
