Marilyn Mae (Miller) Aspegren of Hastings, Nebraska, passed away November 14, 2019 in Grimes, Iowa.
Marilyn was born May 15, 1932 in Harvard, Nebraska. She graduated from Harvard High School in 1950. She married Arnold Aspegren January 7, 1951. She was a member of the Harvard United Methodist Church.
Survivors include son, James Aspegren and wife, Joan of Sutton; daughters, Patricia Robison and significant other, Eric Ohnemus of Grimes Iowa, and Mary Kingston and husband, Mark of North Bend. She had 9 grandchildren, Angela Waters of Omaha, Jennifer Maze of Dayton, Iowa, Amanda Stroh of San Antonio, Texas, Jill Vermaas of Granger, Iowa, Heather Brophy of Fremont, Alisha Tariani of Omaha, Ashley Weber of Omaha, Todd Kingston of Washington, D.C., and Tyler Kingston of Des Moines, Iowa; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brother, Lawrence Miller of Harvard; and 1 nephew, Steven Miller of Lincoln.
Marilyn helped with their farming operations until they moved to Hastings, then she worked for the Hastings Public School System until she retired. In their retirement they enjoyed going to ALL the Nebraska football games and traveling in their motorhome to their vacation home in Sun City, Arizona.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; sister-in law, Evelyn Miller; nephew, Larry Dean Miller; and son-in-law, Frank Robison.
Her funeral services will be Monday, November 18, at 2 p.m. at the Harvard United Methodist Church in Harvard with Rev. D.R. “Buck” Linton-Hendrick officiating. Visitation will be starting at noon Monday at the church. Burial will be at the Harvard Cemetery.
