Glenvil, Nebraska, resident Nita M. Snow, 71, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE after a year-long battle with cancer.
Private family services will be held at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Book signing 1– 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Nita was born on August 30, 1948, in Rawlins, WY to David C. and Juanita (Clark) Danford. She graduated from Rawlins High School and attended college. Nita married Larry D. Snow on May 9, 1969, in Hastings; he preceded her in death on July 11, 1996.
Nita worked at Wal-Mart for 27 years until her retirement. She enjoyed setting up garden gnomes and doing crafts. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Nita enjoyed the traditional family camping trip to Wilson Lake on Mother’s Day weekend with her children and grandchildren.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry D. Snow; brother, Rick Danford; and nephew, Michael Danford.
Survivors include, son, Jody Snow of Glenvil, NE; daughter and spouse, Stacy & Travis Dinges of Victoria, KS; grandchildren, Zach VonLintel and fiancée Sarah Kuhn of Victoria, KS, Hanna VonLintel and boyfriend Lucas Taylor of Victoria, KS; brother, David Danford of Dixon, WY; sisters-in-law and spouses, Missy Smith of Dixon, WY, Sandy and Bernie Hinrichs of Glenvil, NE, Karen and John Post of Blue Hill, NE; step-mother-in-law, Cleo Snow; step-brother-in-law, Carl Craft; nephew, spouse and family, Darrell and Callay Danford of Dixon, WY, Gabe and Bella; other extended family members.
