Hastings, Nebraska, resident Norman C. Krebs, 88, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings.

Norman was born September 29, 1931, in Grand Island, Nebraska to Kenneth R. and Lillian (Gumpbrecht) Krebs. He graduated from Scotia High School. Norman married Joann Tatlow on September 3, 1950, in Elba, Nebraska.
Norman worked as a machinist at Mode O’Day, repaired sewing machines, drove a semi for Juniata CO-OP for 29 years, and played in the Paul Kothe Band for many years. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #592 and a past member of Elks. Norman loved woodworking and worked at the woodshop at Good Samaritan Village.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lyle and Kermit Krebs; son-in-law, Michael Weeks; and infant granddaughter, Julia Krebs.
Survivors include wife, Joann Krebs of Hastings; children and spouses, Christal Weeks of Juniata, Terry and Suzanne Krebs of Clemmons, North Carolina, Carol and Randy Messick of Estes Park, Colorado, and Robin and Mycael Rose of Burr Oak, Kansas; grandchildren and spouses, Ryan and Kristi Weeks of Juniata, LeAnn and Michael Williams of Fort Collins, Colorado, Sarah and Nelson Adams of Bellevue, Washington, David and Amy Krebs of Raleigh, North Carolina, Rebecca and Matt Butler of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Nicholas and Roshaun Hogan of Windsor, Colorado; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Karen Austin of Hastings.
