Young artists decorate pumpkins

Tuesday night.

Four-year-old Brady Scheierman of Hastings used a variety of colors to paint his pumpkin. It was as if he wanted to cover every part of orange showing on the pumpkin.

As he neared completion, he realized one problem with his strategy.

“I think I painted over his face,” Brady said.
Brady was one of several children participating in the Hastings Parks and Recreation Department’s annual pumpkin painting class Tuesday evening at the Hastings City Auditorium.
