HC launches campaign honoring Gottsch

Hastings College announced today the kickoff of the Bobby Gottsch Difference Makers Campaign, just 13 months after the death of the campaign’s namesake.

Gottsch, a businessman and HC trustee, died unexpectedly in August 2011 at age 57.
“He was someone who pursued excellence and was willing to put a shoulder to the wheel to make it happen,” Hastings College President Dennis Trotter said Wednesday.

Gottsch served on the HC Board of Trustees for 18 years and personally gave money to the college for everything from renovating the weight room to funding student scholarships.
The campaign, announced late this morning, is a way to help students and athletes at HC make a difference, Trotter said.
