Hand-in-hand. It's a phrase Bob Parker often uses to describe the correlation between health and happiness.
About 20 years ago, Parker and his wife had just moved to Hastings and decided they wanted to start practicing a healthier lifestyle. They weren't inactive, Parker said, but they wanted to be more proactive.
They starting exercising and partaking in the programs at the Hastings Family YMCA. They began eating healthier. And, they found that those changes lead to uplifted moods and lower stress levels.
The changes went hand-in-hand.
