HC trustee honored by sculpture, community

Cindy Gottsch is honored in front of the "To Be a Difference
Maker" statue given in honor of her late husband, Bobby,
Friday morning at Hastings College.

According to Cindy Gottsch, whenever there is an event in honor of her late husband Bobby, there is always a good crowd.

"He was a well-liked guy," she said. "I am always so touched by how man people want to continue his legacy."

A crowd of more than 100 students, administrators, and friends surrounded the Gottsch family Friday morning at a dedication ceremony for the newly-installed "To Be a Difference Maker" statue in front of Hastings College's Lynn Farrell Arena, which was donated to the college in honor of Bobby, a longtime giver, advocate and trustee for the school.
