Flood urges locals to rally against Planned Parenthood

That was the plea Sen. Mike Flood of Norfolk made to listeners during a speaking engagement at Hastings Public Library Thursday evening.

Hosted by South Central Nebraska Right to Life, the event included a pro life message from Flood followed by a question and answer session and video that drew parallels between current U.S. policies and the Holocaust.

Julie Schmit-Albin, executive director of Nebraska Right to Life, introduced Flood, hailing him as a credible man of integrity who has shown true leadership during his tenure as speaker of the Nebraska Legislature. Schmit-Albin worked closely with Flood on LB1103, the landmark bill signed into law in 2010 that defines a fetus as a baby at 20 weeks based on its ability to feel pain.
